KijaniCooling Consortium Holds Successful 2nd Annual Meeting in Dresden

Dresden, Germany – October 2025

The KijaniCooling Consortium successfully convened its 2nd Annual Meeting from 27–29 October 2025 at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. The meeting brought together project partners from Africa and Europe to review progress across all work packages, strengthen collaboration, and coordinate the next phase of project implementation.

Throughout the three-day meeting, partners shared updates on the development of the KijaniCooling system, including biodigester design, smart monitoring and supervisory technologies, local manufacturing and assembly initiatives, market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the ongoing development of the Meet4Green platform. The consortium also reviewed dissemination activities, including the release of the new KijaniCooling project video, newsletters, and communication materials.

The meeting reaffirmed the consortium’s commitment to advancing sustainable organic waste management, renewable energy generation, and circular economy solutions across the project’s pilot countries: Kenya, Uganda, and Senegal. The KijaniCooling Consortium extends its sincere appreciation to Technische Universität Dresden for hosting the meeting and to all project partners for their continued collaboration and dedication to delivering innovative solutions for Africa’s green transition.
